Rutgers School of Dental Medicine seeking a Dental Assistant III for the Office for Clinical Affairs. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for the dispensing of equipment, instruments, and materials used in clinic sessions and for maintaining an adequate inventory to meet the needs of the students.
Prepares instrument trays by selecting proper instruments for different tray types.
Checks returned instruments and prepares them for sterilization. Delivers and retrieves instruments from the central sterilization area.
Contacts maintenance personnel regarding defective instruments or equipment and monitors repairs.
Assists in placing electronic and handwritten dental supply orders.
Ensures a neat, sanitary, and time-efficient dispensary and storage area. Ensures area meets all OSHA regulations.
Acts as receptionist for the clinic phones.

Minimum Education and Experience
- CPR Certification required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
