Cigna Compliance Specialist- Dental Filing Team in Bloomfield, Connecticut


  • Develop and write product language
  • Manage multiple compliance filings
  • Submit form, rate and advertising filings to state insurance departments
  • Revise existing policy language
  • Answer insurance department objections and manage objections in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Negotiates directly with state regulators (involves Compliance, Government Affairs and supporting attorneys as appropriate)
  • Self-monitors due dates in order to meet internal and external regulatory deadlines
  • Work collaboratively with State Filing Language Release Team to initiate the process to move filed and approved language into production
  • Conduct regulatory research
  • Review emerging legislation for applicability to impacted products
  • Represent product filings, compliance issues impacting applicable product and enhancement products
  • Respond to questions relating to products, research and emerging legislation
  • Conduct day-to-day activities in accordance with compliance policies, procedures and standards of conduct


  • Bachelor degree or equivalent training and mastery
  • Dental experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years compliance/regulatory experience with Group and Individual Medical, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision and Stop Loss products
  • Experience in the development of new Group and Individual product designs from conception
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a flexible, fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive, solution oriented approach
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
